Over this year I’ve expanded my range of platforms to develop on, by moving towards Mobile Devices leaking new skills, experiance and understanding.
Netbeans Development : Java ‘Breakout’ Game for Mobile Phones
To first acquaint myself with the Java programming language I developed a simple breakout game for mobile phones in an environment I’d not used before – Netbeans. Configuring Netbeans to work with the Java J2ME libraries was simple and easy, allowing me to create this game very quickly – expanding my knowledge of programming languages and development environments.
Xcode Development : iPhone Programming in Objective C
Being an early adopter of the iPhone (Pre 3G iPhone user) I’ve always being curious about iPhone development. I took on the challenge over summer, picking up Objective C from tutorials and books, and getting used to the Xcode environment through a series of tutorials on Apple’s website. Hopefully soon I’ll have some interesting and exciting projects to show on here.
Eclipse Development : Android Programming in Java

As well as wanting to develop for Apple’s iPhone, I’ve also noticed the latest HTC Android phones and have began development for their platform too. I chose to development their
applications in another new development environment, Eclipse, to add to the list that I’m familiar with. I’m currently working through tutorials and documentation on the Google-Developed Java libraries and I’ve no doubt I’ll soon have some great projects to show on here.
